Beth Berardi is a native Bostonian who earned
a degree in international marketing from Simmons College. She minored in
French and the French culture has always been a passion for her. While
living with a family in Paris, she was exposed to cooking and entertaining
in a whole new light and knew that at some point this passion would be part
of her career.
While in college, Berardi worked as a server
in restaurants. This experience gave her an intimate first hand
understanding of how the staff works together to meet the needs of its
customers. “I learned that a successful restaurant was made up of a whole
team of people working together to achieve a common goal,” says Berardi.
“That goal is to provide patrons with a complete and wonderful dining
experience, from the food to the service to the ambiance. I knew that I saw
my own business goals reflected in these core values.”
Berardi entered the insurance industry in 1986
and built a successful personal lines insurance agency, Ivy West Insurance
Agency. The mission of her agency is to offer uncompromising personalized
service, to give the client more that they expect, to go the distance and do
whatever necessary to get the job done, to listen with intuition and heart,
and above all, to truly care. Ivy West Insurance Agency received an
Honorable Mention in the 2000 Community Newspaper Company’s Reader’s Choice
Awards.
In 1994, Berardi finally accomplished her goal
of combining her passion for food with her expertise in insurance writing.
She expanded her insurance agency to specialize in the restaurant industry.
She now focuses the bulk of her work on providing insurance to protect
restaurants and their employees from a variety of losses.
She considers herself an integral part of the
restaurant team and works with them to ensure their success. “Part of my
job is to strategize with my clients, find out what is the best product for
them, and represent them by being their staunchest advocate,” says Berardi.
“This high level of service distinguishes me as a professional, not just
another salesman. And, more importantly, it gives me the greatest sense of
satisfaction.” In fact, in the same way her restaurant clients desire to
please their patrons, she desires to please her clients. Her clients know
and feel that their best interest is always of utmost importance. |
